There are big changes coming to the live entertainment lineup for the Epcot World Showcase.  Two longtime favorites: Off Kilter, and Mo 'Rockin will be departing along with the World Showcase Players and Spirit Of America Fife and Drum Corp to make way for new entertainment acts.

A Canada pavilion Favorite and Epcot Live Music Favorite since they arrived in 1997, Off Kilter never had a regular member of Canadian origins, but that didn't stop them from proudly representing Canada with regular performances for the past 17 years!  Founder Jamie Holton has lead the band for its entire run at Epcot.

We loved the band for its enthusiastic renditions of Celtic Favorites and the way that they added bagpipes to a number of classic rock songs to make them their own.  Off Kilter was fun entertainment that was enjoyed during each visit to Epcot.

Off Kilter's last performance at Epcot is scheduled to be on September 27th.

Mo 'Rockin at Epcot

Mo 'Rockin

The staple of the Morocco Pavilion since 1998 and founded by Amir Ali, Mo 'Rockin provided a unique World Music sound with the added feature of its own Belly Dancer.

This band provided great entertainment and convinced thousands of Epcot visitors to spend more time exploring the exotic offerings of the Morocco Pavilion.

The final Epcot performance for Mo 'Rockin is currently scheduled for Saturday September 27th.

Other Epcot World Showcase Changes

Epcot guests will also see changes to the entertainment line-up in the United Kingdom as the World Showcase Players will be departing after September 25th, taking with them their tales of King Arthur and their improvisational humor that engaged the nearby visitors to become part of their show.

Also leaving will be the Spirit of America Fife and Drum Corp that played in front of the America Pavilion.  They will make their last Epcot performance on September 27th.

Coming To Epcot 

New acts that will be making their way to Epcot's World Showcase in the upcoming months with dates to be announced:

• Sbandieratori Flags,a corps of dynamic flag-waving performers, in Italy
• a to-be-named lumberjack-based thrill show in Canada
• B’net Houariyat, a musical/dance act in Morocco
• Scottish Musical Trio, a Celtic musical group in United Kingdom. 

Off Kilter is the star of the Epcot Live Entertainment line-up.  This irreverent kilt wearing band is a fan favorite playing in the Canada Pavilion at Epcot.  Recently they received a major upgrade to their stage.

Off Kilter plays their own unique version of Celtic Rock with front man Jamie Holton playing the bagpipes when he is not singing.  Although they play in Epcot's Canada Pavilion, oddly enough none of the 5 member bands hails from the land up north.  There is an international flavor to the band though as one member is from Ireland, another from Puerto Rico, and the rest are from the United States.

Off Kilter is an appropriate name for the 5 Kilt Wearing Lads who play Celtic Rock music at Epcot's Canadian Pavilion in Disney World. They are anything but conventional.

Although the band is found in Canada along Epcot's World Showcase, none of the band members hail from there.

There is an international flavor to the band though as one member is from Ireland, another from Puerto Rico, and the rest are from  the United States.
The current line-up of the band includes:

• Jamie Holton - "Founder", Singer and Bagpipe player extraordinaire.
• Mark Weldon - "Co-Founder", Lead Singer, and Bass player.
• Scotty Zymowski - Drummer
• Tony Escapa - Keyboards
• Randy Holbrook - Lead Guitar

Jamie is local to the Orlando area and started playing bagpipes when he was just 11.  When he was 20 he started working at Disney World playing in a traditional bagpipe trio in the parks.  He came up with an idea for a Celtic Rock Band and convinced Disney that it was a good idea.  They liked it, and he met Mark and put the band together.

Off Kilter is consistently a fan favorite at Epcot.  They play a blend of traditional Celtic songs that they have added a rock music edge to, a number of Rock songs that they have added a Celtic feel to, and some of their own original material.

In addition to their musical talent, they put on an entertaining live show.  They engage the audience and make it a fun experience.  As their kilted attire suggests, they don't take themselves too seriously and it contributes to the fun in their shows.

Off Kilter is a must see part of every trip to Epcot.  I always check to make sure that we only visit Epcot on days that Off Kilter is perfoming.  If they are not a regular part of your Epcot visits, you need to check them out, and I'm certain that you too, will be adding them to your must see parts of your Disney World vacations.
