Disney World Hidden Secret: The Muppets Leave The Key Under The Mat For You
Throughout the Disney World Parks and Resorts there are a number of unadvertised "special" treats for those that discover them. Most guests will walk right by and never know that they even existed. For those that do find out about them, it provides a little extra Disney Magic to enjoy during your trip.
One such hidden treat can be found on the way to see the Muppet Show.
Muppets Leave The Key Under The Mat
Once you enter the Muppet Vision 3D building, as you go through the turnstiles look immediately to your right. You will see the box office pictured below.
If you read the sign hanging from the box office window it says:
"Back in 5 minutes
key is under mat"
If you look down you will discover that there is a Welcome mat on the floor just below the Box Office Window as pictured above.
If you take the time to reach down and actually lift up the mat you will discover that there really is a key under the mat!

The next time that you visit Disney World remember this secret and impress your family. Although this is something that is relatively simple, you will be amazed at how impressed people will be that you knew to look under the mat.

Make An Intergalactic Phone Call In The Magic Kingdom
There are many unadvertised features to be found in the theme parks at Disney World. Today we will look at one that can be found in Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom.
Once you have reached Tomorrowland, head to Rockettower Plaza near The Lunching Pad (which is underneath the Tomorrowland Transit Authority Entrance). Here you will find a futuristic looking phone booth amongst the tables set up in the plaza.
The Metrophone is not your ordinary phone booth. This is a very special phone brought to you by the GCN (Galactic Communications Network, in case you are not familiar with the GCN).
Here you can make calls "Toll Free from anywhere in the Galaxy." To make a call just enter the Metrophone booth and press a number on the keypad. You will then be connected to an amusing recording on the other end. Try a few different ones while you are there!
Take the time during your next visit to impress your family by pointing it out and going over and making a few calls. It will not only be fun for you and your family, it will increase your credibility as the family Disney World expert because you knew all about the Metrophone, one of the Hidden Secrets of Disney World.
Disney World Hidden Secret At Disney's Hollywood Studios
When you visit the Walt Disney World Resort it is always fun to be "in the know" and find one of the many "Hidden Secrets" that exist within the four theme parks.
Today we will share one of the secrets in Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Located to the left of the entrance of the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular is a small scene that looks like a well under construction. It has a sign posted that warns you to NOT pull the rope.

If you ignore the WARNING and go ahead and "Pull the Rope", you will be rewarded with a special surprise. There will be voices from down in the well that respond each time you pull the rope. Each time you pull the rope you will hear a different response.
This is a great opportunity to impress your family with your knowledge of the Disney World Parks by leading them to this area and having them pull the rope. Encourage them to go against the rules and to ingore the WARNING sign to pull the rope.
It is a lot of fun and your family will consider you the Disney expert for knowing about this Hidden Disney World Secret. This is an area that you will not find in your Disney World park map. It is one of the special extras that is placed there for you to discover on your own.
