Disney World Celebrates World Oceans Day June 8th

In part of their ongoing conservation initiatives, Disney World will be celebrating World Oceans Day on June 8, 2011 with special programs at The Living Seas With Nemo And Friends in Epcot.

"Sea-Nanigans"
One of the special programs during World Oceans Day is called "Sea-nanigans".  This involves learning about different species of sea creatures that use some form of camouflage or other tricks in order to survive.  Another activity Disney World guests will try to guess what their favorite sea creature eats.  Popular species included are: Clownfish, Sharks, Dolphins, and Manatees.  All of which can be seen at The Living Seas With Nemo & Friends. The programs last from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm.  If you happen to be visiting Epcot be sure to stop by and check it out!

Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund
Disney has contributed over $4 million to support the conservation of marine wildlife and habitats.  Much of this funding comes from the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund.
