Dumbo The Flying Elephant - Inspiring Your Inner Child
Guests of the Walt Disney World Resort look for the magical escape to a world where even adults can let their inner child have fun. There may be no better example of this than on the Dumbo The Flying Elephant Attraction.
Dumbo The Flying Elephant
This classic Magic Kingdom attraction is actually one that was not only moved from its original Fantasyland location, but it was also transformed from a single unit to a double set of rotating Dumbos, thereby allowing more guests to enjoy this fantastic Disney escape.New Fantasyland Attraction
The new "Double" Dumbo attraction can now be found as part of the Storybook Circus area of the Magic Kingdom. As an additional benefit, the new Dumbo attraction has a special Circus Tent queue that gives younger guests the opportunity to play under the big top while they are waiting in line.
You can't help but smile when you gaze at Dumbo on this attraction. The added water features brings out the playful qualities of this favorite flying pachyderm.
Can't you just picture yourself flying along with this ever smiling elephant?
When it comes to pure childish joy at Disney World, it is hard to match the feeling that your inner child gets when soaring through the air on the Dumbo attraction. As popular as the original attraction was, this new incarnation is even better!
Your visit to Disney World and the Magic Kingdom is not complete if you do not ride the Dumbo - The Flying Elephant attraction!
Fun In Disney World Sun At New Casey Jr Splash 'N' Soak Station
There is a new way to cool off when you visit the Magic Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort. It is called Casey Jr Splash 'N' Soak Station and it will delight the kids in your family and the kid in you during the hot Florida days at Disney World.
Casey Jr Splash 'N' Soak Station
Located in the new Storybook Circus part of the Magic Kingdom Fantasyland is the newest way to combat the heat and have fun. Following the theme from nearby neighboring attraction Dumbo The Flying Elephant you now find Casey Jr the circus train from the movie.
Equipped with an array of nozzles and spraying devices, the various circus train cars provide a fun way to get wet and cool off. Part of the fun is guessing where the water will come from and when it will come next.
Plan on your children getting wet if they come into this area. There is no waiting queue, you just have to be brave enough to venture within range of the spray.
Plan ahead and either have your children wear swimsuits or bring a change of clothing for after they get wet. There are nearby restrooms if needed.
This great addition is part of the new Fantasyland Expansion and will be an activity to add to your Disney World Vacations.
Disney World Introduces Big Top Experience For Dumbo The Flying Elephant
The Imagineers at Disney World have been hard at work coming up with different ways to improve the experience that guests have while waiting in lines for their favorite attractions. They recently have released a video showing what they have created for the new Dumbo The Flying Elephant attraction at the Magic Kingdom Theme Park.
The video shows the inside of the Big Top located between the new twin Dumbo rides. While guests wait they are actually given a pager that allows them to proceed to the air conditioned Big Top Tent where they can "play" in the circus themed area or sit while they wait for their pager to let them know when it is their turn to ride Dumbo.
So what do you think? Does this look better than standing in line in the hot sun? Here at Only WDWorld we certainly believe that Disney World has taken another step forward towards improving the Pre-Show (aka Ride Queue) part of the attraction.
The target age of this area is geared towards the younger visitors, but remember that this is located in the new Storybook Circus section of Fantasyland in the Magic Kingdom. This area more so than any other in all of the Walt Disney World Resort is set up for the pre-school age guest, but we believe guest young and old will long this new addition.

Disney World Starts Welcoming New Fantasyland Attractions In Late March
For the Magic Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort the biggest news for the last 2 years has been the monumental expansion that is taking place in Fantasyland. New castles are being built, along with new attractions, and restaurants. The best news of all is that we will start to see this new Fantasyland start to open late in March 2012.
Storybook Circus
The first area to open will be the Storybook Circus themed section which is inspired by the Disney animated classic "Dumbo." Storybook Circus uses the area that used to be home to Mickey's Toontown Fair. It will also cater to Disney World's youngest guests just like Mickey's Toontown Fair used to do.
The attractions that will be opening in this area include the Great Goofini Roller Coaster, which is a rethemed version of the Barnstormer. This is a perfect introduction to roller coasters for young children and also for thrill ride averse adults.
The area will also be home to a new and improved Dumbo The Flying Elephant attraction, now with two ride carousels (one to open in late March with the other to follow later) to choose from instead of the tradition one that we are used to. We are also promised an interactive queue area to make the time spent waiting in line more enjoyable.
Lastly we will be introduced to Casey Jr. the train from the Dumbo movie that brought the circus into town. This will be combined with colorful circus tents and circus theming.
The Wait Is Almost Over!
It has been a long time for Disney World fans to go from initial announcement, ground breaking, construction, and finally opening of the expanded Fantasyland. Will this initial phase opening excite you or just make you more impatient for the rest to open?

Magic Kingdom Storybook Circus Update
Disney World has released an update with further information about the area replacing the Mickey's Toontown Fair land in the Magic Kingdom. Previously it had been revealed that the beloved Dumbo attraction was going to be relocated to this area and become a double-Dumbo attraction. Also we had learned that the Barnstormer Roller Coaster was going to remain, but get a new circus theme with Goofy becoming the Great Goofini.
- The area will be called Storybook Circus based upon the animated film "Dumbo."
- Casey Jr., the locomotive from the film, has rolled into the Magic Kingdom and brought the circus with him, complete with colorful tents.
- Casey Jr. can be found near the train station in an area where young guests can cool off and get wet.
- Big Top tents will lead to the double version of "Dumbo The Flying Elephant." The enclosed queue will be under the tents and include interactive elements for the guests to enjoy.
- The Barnstormer will become a spiraling stunt plane built by the great Goofini.
