Disney Dining Plan Changes For 2012
In addition to price increases there are two changes impacting the 3 most popular Dining Plans: Disney Quick Service Plan, Disney Dining Plan, and the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan.

2012 Change #1: Disney Dining Plan (Standard) Adds Refillable Mug
You will now receive a refillable Resort Drink Mug for all of the Disney Dining Plan Options.  This is good only for the duration of your trip at the Resort you are staying.  The mug can be filled/refilled with a variety of soft drinks, coffee, tea, or hot chocolate from the designated stations at your Disney World Resort.

2012 Change #2: Quick Service Dining Plan Reduces # Of Snacks To One Per Day
One of the most fun parts of the Quick Service Dining Plan was figuring out which snacks to obtain with the Disning Plan Snack Credits.  Many times with two snacks per day you could also get breakfast items to avoid making any additional food purchases during your trip.

Gratuities are not included in any of the plans.

While I'm not surprised about removing one snack from the QSDP since it's been rumored for awhile now it is a disappointment. So yes, technically the price didn't change, but it actually did, around $4 (or more during Food & Wine Festival). Guest will seriously have to look at the price and what they would NORMALLY order, and see if it is worth to them. For our family of 3 it would run $105/day. (my daughter is 12) I know I could budget our meals for less than that a day.

Looks like we weren't the only ones scrambling to use up our last SC before leaving for home. Last year we had 19 on our last day!

Of course, when it's offered free, than that's a whole new animal!

Most of the Downtown Disney places are no longer on the dining plan.
