Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party Starts November 10th at Disney World
This year the Christmas Holiday season officially begins on November 10th. This is that date that Disney World and more specifically the Magic Kingdom brings out the decorations, turns on their festive lights, and starts the celebration.
Nov. 10th is also the first of 19 nights for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party to be held in the Magic Kingdom.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, aka MVMCP, is a night time special ticket event that runs from 7:00 pm – 12:00 AM on selected nights.
Features of the MVMCP include:
The “Once Upon a Christmastime Parade” which features special floats, dancing snowflakes, marching toy soldiers, and many of your favorite Disney characters dressed for the season. This wonderful parade is the highlight of the party.
A special fireworks presentation “Holiday Wishes-Celebrate the Spirit of the Season” where fireworks are orchestrated to classic holiday tunes. Only Disney can top the already spectacular Wishes show and make it even better for the holidays.
Cinderella’s Castle lit up with over 200,000 LED lights. It is a spectacular sight to see.
A new this year Stage Show called “A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas!” with Stitch, Buzz Lightyear and Mike Wazowski hosting a rockin’ Christmas party. This interactive party features “songs of the season” in the style of today’s hottest Radio Disney hits.
- Complementary Cookies and Hot Chocolate
Most Rides and Attractions are open during the event.
- Enjoy special “snow effects” on Main St.
- Your favorite Disney Characters dressed up for the Holidays.
Tip: Typically the parade is shown twice each night. By choosing to watch the second showing of the parade, not only do you have a better view of the parade (fewer people watching) you also have shorter attractions lines as most people watch the first showing of the parade.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party dates are: Nov. 10, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20, 29 and Dec. 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, 17, 18.
Advance tickets are suggested as some nights are expected to sell out, especially the closer that you get to Christmas.
Advance tickets and information for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party are available now by visiting disneyworld.com/christmasparty or by calling 407/W-DISNEY.
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is a fun event, that certainly gets you into the spirit of Christmas. The parade is my favorite part of the event and certainly not to be missed. This is something that everyone should try to do at least once.
