Dining In Style At Les Chefs de France In Epcot

Housed in a building styled to match late 19th century Parisian architecture, Les Chefs de France is far from your typical theme park restaurant.

It roots go back to 1982 when the restaurant was started by a trio of legendary French Chefs: Paul Bocuse, Roger Vergé, and Gaston Lenôtre (who passed away in January of 2009). This may have been one of the first examples of celebrity chefs combining their talents to own a restaurant.

The result of the collaboration is a highly rated restaurant that features traditional French regional cuisine with menu items influenced by the owners.

Since the restaurant is located in the France Pavilion within Epcot’s World Showcase, the wait staff is French, dressed in the black pants and vests with white aprons. This adds to the ambiance and the dining experience.

The inside of the restaurant carries on the late 1800's architecture that is seen on the outside of the building.  The high ceilings make the space feel very airy even though there are a lot of tables in a relatively small space for this 240 seat restaurant.

Les Chef de France Menu
The menu changes frequently, but there are typically beef, chicken, duck, seafood, and vegetarian options on the menu to enjoy.

Appetizers include: Assorted Cheeses, Escargot, & Les Tartes des Chefs - Original flatbreads from their brick oven.

You will also find the traditional Soupe a l'oignon gratinee - the classic onion soup topped with Gruyere cheese on the menu.

As your thoughts turn to the Entrees, you can see the ones that we have pictured here.  They all were excellent and would be recommended.

Plat de Cote de Boeuf au Cabarnet avec pates - Beef short ribs braised in Cabernet with pasta, pearl onions and mushrooms.

Filet de boeuf grille, sauce au poivre noir Gratin Dauphinois et haricots verts - Grilled tenderloin of beef with a black pepper sauce original potato gratin of Savoy and green beans.

Noix de Saint Jacques et gambas sautees - Sauteed Scallops and Black Tiger Shrimp

Filet de Saumon, ratatouille sauce Choron - Broiled salmon, tomato Bearnaise, ratatouille made with onions, zucchini, eggplant and bell peppers

Finally, you can't forget the dessert.  They have a wonderful Creme Brulee and for those who need a little chocolate in their diet:
Profiteroles au chocolat - Puff choux with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce

A Dinner To Remember, A Restaurant To Visit Again...and again!

Les Chefs de France is certainly one of the top restaurants to visit during your Disney World Vacation.  The food and the experience are both top notch.  This is a restaurant that you will want to make part of every trip.  If you are using the Disney Dining Plan, it is also one of the top Disney Dining Plan Restaurants that only require the use of one Table Service Credit.

Do yourself a favor and add an evening at Les Chefs de France to your next Disney World vacation.

Truly one of my favorite restaurants! I loved seeing all of the photos -- I've never tried any of those dishes (except the dessert, which is heavenly!).
