Have you ever wished that you could become part of a movie? At Disney's Hollywood Studios the new Toy Story Land transports guests to the world of the Disney Pixar Toy Story movies.
In this 11 acre world within the theme park, guests are shown the world from a toy sized perspective and the results are amazing. All of your favorite toys from the hit movies are represented to build this incredible world just waiting to be explored.
Attractions, Pixar Characters, and Amazing Toy Inspired Theming
The Toy Story Land can be a little overwhelming to the senses as you walk through the paths to explore. There are 3 major attractions (Slinky Dog Dash, Toy Story Mania!, & Alien Swirling Saucers) to enjoy while visiting. Each one is suitable for the entire family, yet enjoyable for people of all ages.Slinky Dog Dash
This innovative roller coaster does not have any giant hills, but it does have a few tricks up its sleeve to make it a fun ride for everyone in the family. It does a great job combining excellent theming, fast (but not too fast) turns, and the special stop in the middle before the exciting run to 'The Big Finale!"Toy Story Mania!
The original Toy Story themed attraction still exists with a brand new entrance and queue section with everyone's favorite talking Potato. This attraction continues to be challenging and fun for the whole family.Alien Swirling Saucers
The alien's from the Pizza Planet now have their own attraction. Don't worry if you see swirling in the name Although the attraction moves briskly, the spinning doe not occur at a dizzying rate like the Tea Cups at the Magic Kingdom. Again great theming abounds in this fun attraction.Toy Story Characters
Don't miss the opportunity to get your picture taken with characters from the Toy Story films. At any given moment you may have the opportunity to get your picture taken with:- Buzz Lightyear
- Woody
- Green Army Men
- Jessie

Toy Filled Theming
Everywhere you look there is fun, toy filled theming! From Tinkertoy structures, to Crayola Chalk, Crayons, and Markers, to Kinex building pieces, and game boards like Yahtzee. You see characters from the movies like Rex, Mr. Potato Head, Wheezy, RC Car, Slinky Dog, and the Green Army Men.

Toy Story Land is Coming To Disney's Hollywood Studios!
Disney's Hollywood Studios is in the midst of a major transformation and one of the key additions to this Walt Disney World Resort Theme park will be the recently announced Toy Story Land.
Following in the very successful model of Cars Land that was created for Disney's California Adventure in California, the Disney Imagineers will use the familiar charaters from the Toy Story series of movies to create new expereinces that Disney World guests are sure to love.
Here are the details that were announced at the D23 Expo on August 15, 2015:
We have some exciting news to share today. Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Bob Chapek just unveiled plans for Toy Story Land, to be built at Disney’s Hollywood Studios at the Walt Disney World Resort. The new land, inspired by the “Toy Story” film franchise, will allow guests to shrink to the size of a toy and explore the world of Andy’s backyard.
According to Imagineer Kathy Mangum, Toy Story Land was inspired by the overwhelming guest response to Cars Land at Disney California Adventure park at the Disneyland Resort.
“As all of you know, here in Anaheim, we’ve been quite successful with taking immersive experiences to a whole new level as we did with Cars Land. In fact, one of our favorite stories from opening day is that we overheard a little boy asking his mom, ‘Is this where they filmed the Cars movie?'” Kathy said. “That’s exactly how we want people to feel – like they’ve stepped onto the set of their favorite film … like the quaint town of Radiator Springs or, in the case of ‘Toy Story,’ the wild and adventurous outdoors of Andy’s backyard.”
When Toy Story Land opens at the park, guests will be able to play with some of their favorite toys at two new attractions that will be unique to the Walt Disney World Resort, plus one expanded favorite:
- Family-friendly roller coaster – Guests board Slinky Dog’s back for a thrilling toy-filled coaster adventure that’s ideal for the entire family.
- Alien saucers attraction – The famous little green aliens from the movie will take guests around for a spin in their very own flying saucers – but beware The Claw!
- Toy Story Mania! – This current guest-favorite attraction, which allows guests to take aim at 3D objects in into the Toy Story Midway Games Play Set, will expand with more midway track that takes you into the world under Andy’s bed where he’s built a carnival-style midway.
Disney-Pixar Movie Finding Nemo Themed Pool At Disney's Art Of Animation Resort
The Big Blue Pool at Disney's Art of Animation Resort is not only the largest single resort pool in the entire Walt Disney World Resort, but it also features amazing theming based upon the Disney-Pixar movie Finding Nemo.
This 308,527-gallon zero-entry pool will amaze you with its stunning features and keep your children begging to jump in.
If you have a favorite character from Finding Nemo, you will find them here! Marlin, Nemo, Dory, Crush, and all the others can be in and around the pool. The Disney Imagineers have outdone themselves with this design.
There is so much detail to take in. You can spend a great deal of time walking around checking out all of the amazing Finding Nemo references.
Even Bruce the shark can be found in giant form painted along the side of one of the resort building framing the pool.
Best Disney World Value Resort Pool
The Big Blue Pool at Disney's Art of Animation Resort is without a doubt the best Resort pool to be found at any of the Disney Value Resorts. For families with younger children this may be one of the best Disney World pools period! If you are planning to spend some of your vacation time around the pool this is a great reason to consider Disney's Art Of Animation Resort.Disney World Must See Show - Finding Nemo - The Musical
Disney World is known for its spectacular shows. Usually
when you hear of Disney World shows you think Fantasmic, Festival Of The Lion
King, and Lights, Motors, Action! My favorite Disney World Show though leaves
them all in the dust. I’m talking about Finding Nemo-The Musical at Disney’s Animal
Kingdom!
This post is brought to you by www.OnlyWDWorld.com guest blogger Madison Collins! Learn more about Madison at the end of this post.
Finding Nemo-The Musical combines Broadway worthy songs with
out of this world puppetry. The entire Finding Nemo cast is extremely talented.
They truly bring Finding Nemo to the next level.
What makes Finding Nemo even better is that all of the songs
in the musical aren’t in Finding Nemo the brilliant Pixar movie, making it the only place you
can hear these, so catchy you can’t get them out of your head, songs. This is the first time that Disney has made a
musical show out of a non-musical movie.
The actors in Finding Nemo actually go into the audience at
points during the musical, which makes it that much more entertaining. I really like it when Marlin and Dory seem
like they are right next to you in the audience. The giant jellyfish are amazing as they run
through the audience!
Finding Nemo-The Musical is an inside attraction, so it’s a
wonderful attraction to hit when it’s too hot or pouring rain.
When not watching Finding Nemo - The Musical, you can often find our guest blogger Madison hanging out with her two favorite Disney characters, Chip n' Dale!

Pixar Pals Countdown To Fun! Parade At Disney's Hollywood Studios
The current parade at Disney's Hollywood Studios is a lively affair with all of your favorite characters from the great Pixar animated Classic Movies. You will see 6 different films represented during the Pixar Pals Countdown To Fun! Parade including: The Incredibles, Monsters Inc., Up!, Ratatouille, Toy Story 3, and A Bug's Life.
Pixar Pals Countdown To Fun Parade
The newest parade at Disney World just exudes fun. The Pixar Pals Countdown To Fun! Parade at Disney's Hollywood Studios includes floats, dancers, and an unbelievable number of characters from 6 great Disney Pixar Animated Films.
The music sets the stage for this upbeat parade and the song they use is a remake of the Todd Rundgren classic: "Bang The Drum All Day." The tune is instantly recognizable and will have you wanting to sing and dance along with the characters and performers.
The Incredibles
Leading off the Pixar Pals Countdown To Fun! Parade are the characters from The Incredibles. On the ground they have Elastigirl (aka Mrs. Incredible) and Frozone. There are also many brightly attired performers including some on scooters to help keep the energy level high and to engage the Hollywood Studios crowd. On the red and yellow Countdown to Fun Float is none other than Mr. Incredible dancing to the music.
A Bug's Life
The next Pixar film represented is the 1998 classic A Bug's Life. The float is a recreation of the P.T. Flea's Circus Caravan from the film with Francis prominently positioned in a saxophone.

A Bug's Life
The next Pixar film represented is the 1998 classic A Bug's Life. The float is a recreation of the P.T. Flea's Circus Caravan from the film with Francis prominently positioned in a saxophone.
Preceding the float you will find Flik and Dot making their way along the parade route with performers in colorful ladybug costumes.
P.T. Flea has never seen his circus so well advertised. The float instantly brings back memories from the movie. The overall float design is excellent and looks great.
You can see Gypsy riding on the back of the float and it is followed by Slim, the walking stick bug. Seeing these characters made me want to see the movie again (which I am sure is part of the goal of including them in the parade!).
Ratatouille
Next up is the float representing the adorable "little Chef Remy" from Ratatouille. The float returns to Countdown to Fun! style, but adds it's unique flavor by making the blocks look like cheese.
The characters on the floats like Remy were very active and were constantly dancing to the music and waving to the crowd.
Monsters Inc.
There couldn't be a parade of Pixar characters without including Mike Wazowski, Sulley, and the gang from Monsters Inc. Their float is an ingenious recreation of the Scream Floor with Mike and Sulley along for the ride.
The float depicts the Scream Floor and the large canisters that are used to store the screams that are collected. Also high above you can see the doors that are used to transport from Monstropolis to the human world. The details are amazing. There is even a tote board that shows the scare totals with Sullivan (Sulley) having a slight lead over his nemesis Randall.
Up!
The heart tugging Pixar film Up! is represented next with your favorite characters: Russell, Dug, and Carl Fredricksen. Leading the way in the parade are Wilderness Explorer Russell and Dug the Dog.
Carl Fredricksen rides the float and impresses the crowds with his dance moves. Note the balloons that are worked into the design of the float.
Toy Story 3
Last, but not least the characters from Toy Story 3 are represented. Leading the way for the Toy Story gang are Mr. Potatohead, Jessie, and Bullseye.
The float for the Toy Story characters incorporates many of the great classic toys that you see in the movies like: Speak and Spell, Tinker Toys, and Barrel of Monkeys. You will also see Buzz Lightyear and Woody take center stage on the float. The representation of Buzz Lightyear's spaceship and the little green aliens at the top of the float are great.
You will also see the "villain" of Toy Story 3 - Lots-'O-Huggin Bear making his appearance on the float as well.
Parade Worth Seeing
The Pixar Pals Countdown To Fun! Parade is definitely one that is worth seeing. This high energy parade will have you singing along and excited to see all of the characters from some of your favorite Disney Pixar films.
It is definitely worth your time to make sure that you catch this parade during your next visit to Disney's Hollywood Studios. Whether you have children or you just love the memorable characters from these Disney Pixar movies you will enjoy the parade.
