The Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival is one of the Disney World Special Events that everyone should make a point of trying to experience. This amazing transformation of the normally well landscaped Epcot into a sea of blooming colors and wonderful topiaries is a sight that everyone in your family will enjoy.
Throughout Epcot you will find amazing gardens and beds of flowers that literally take your breath away. During the entire festival, March 7 through May 20, the Disney Horticultural staff works hard to keep the plants blooming at their peak.
One of the best areas to explore is the France Pavilion in Epcot's World Showcase. Not only do you find beautifully landscaped gardens, but you will also find many special Disney Characters transformed into Topiaries.

Container Gardens
Fans of container gardens will be truly inspired in the Italy Pavilion. There is an amazing array of container gardens that will encourage you to mimic once you return home. Also, who can't help but fall in love with the Lady & The Tramp topiaries?Peter Pan takes center stage in the walkway between Future World and the World Showcase in a picturesque garden complete with topiaries from the Disney Classic Peter Pan.
Garden World Of Pixie Hollow
Some times the smallest details make the biggest impressions. That surely is proven true when you walk through the Garden World of Pixie Hollow. Here you will find Tinker Bell and her Fairy friends as well as some imaginative Fairy houses.
Experience The Magic Of Nature
There are so many different gardens, topiaries, and gardening related activities to enjoy that you will definitely have a different Epcot experience when you visit during this magical time of year. For the advanced gardener to be there are even seminars each weekend conducted by HGTV celebrity designers and night time concerts to enjoy as part of the Flower Power Concert Series.

Disney World Topiaries Are Star Of Epcot International Flower & Garden Show
Over 100 different topiaries can be found throughout Epcot during the International Flower & Garden Festival that runs from March 7 - May 20, 2012. This Disney World tradition showcases the remarkable talents of the Disney Horticultural Staff as they come up with new and improved topiaries for each year's Festival.
Winnie The Pooh fans will love seeing this fanciful representation of everyone's favorite resident of the Hundred Acre Wood.
Not too far away from Winnie The Pooh you can find his friends Piglet & Eeyore.
Tigger always brings a smile to my face.
Rabbit certainly looks at home in the garden with that excellent bunch of carrots.
Some of Disney's best known characters can also be seen in topiary form. Above you can see Daisy Duck.
Donald Duck can't wait for you to take his picture!
This is an adorable scene with Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, & Pluto flying a kite during a picnic lunch.
There are plenty of Disney Princesses to be found skillfully recreated as topiaries. Here you find not only Snow White, but the seven dwarfs as well.

The characters from the Disney Animated Classic Peter Pan come to life in this scene. Here you see Peter Pan, Captain Hook, and Tick-Tock the crocodile.
Although she is not in the scene with Peter Pan, don't feel sorry for Tinkerbell. She has her own Pixie Hollow area where you will find Tinkerbell and her Fairy friends amongst some very beautiful gardens.
Lady and The Tramp have been wonderfully transformed into topiaries amongst this stunning container garden.

The Lion King created many memorable scene like this one with Rafiki and young Simba.
This topiary of Pumba will bring a smile to any face.

Not all of the topiaries are of Disney Characters. This topiary scene with the pandas is wonderful and absolutely fits in the China Pavilion at World Showcase.

Victoria Gardens In Disney World's Epcot Pay Tribute To The Butchart Gardens
The year round landscaping in Epcot is amazing with no area more impressive than the Victoria Gardens that can be found in the World Showcase Canada Pavilion. Here you will find a wide variety of blooming plants and gardens that provide a picturesque backdrop during any season.
Victoria, British Columbia is home to The Butchart Gardens, which may be one of the most beautiful botanical gardens in the world. The Butchart Gardens were started by Jennie Butchart in the exhausted limestone quarry that was used by her husband, Robert Butchart, for his cement business.
In all there are 55 acres that got their humble beginnings in that quarry over a hundred years ago. This has become a major tourist attraction in Canada and is reknowned throughout the world. The Butchart Gardens are now recognized as a National Historic Site of Canada and it is fitting that it is chosen to be included in the Epcot Canada Pavilion.
Victoria Gardens
The Victoria Gardens can be found in the Canada Pavilion between the exit to O' Canada! and the walkway to get to the Le Cellier Steakhouse. The gardens provide beautiful views no matter what time of year that you visit Disney World.
The Disney World Horticultural staff has done a wonderful job constructing and maintaining these beautiful gardens. When the gardens were initially developed the plants were brought to Florida and given two years to aclimate to the Florida heat before they were put into the gardens.
Gardening Excellence Year Round
You do not have to visit Epcot during the International Flower & Garden Festival to see wonderful blooming gardens. All you have to do is visit the Canada Pavilion and visit the Victoria Gardens! It serves as the perfect background for your family or couple photos and will also provide you with great ideas for creating gardens to enhance your personal landscaping.
