Experience L'Artisan des Glaces At Epcot France For Wonderful Ice Creams & Sorbets
When you visit the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, no matter what time of year, ice cream is a welcomed treat. L'Artisan des Glaces in the France Pavilion of Epcot is serving up 16 flavors of wonderful frozen goodness.
In the location that was the former home of the Boulangerie Patisserie (which has moved to a new larger home nearby), L'Artisan des Glaces is an artisan ice cream and sorbet shop.
When you step inside you will get a chance to notice the carefully chosen accept decorations, but most of the space is open to accommodate customers. We really love the milk bottle chandelier. This is a case where simple works best and creates the charm of the place.
There are 16 flavors of treats to chose from. The 10 ice cream flavors are: Vanilla, Chocolate, Mint Chocolate, Pistachio, Hazelnut, Profiterole, Caramel fleur de sel, Cherry, Coco-White Chocolate, & Coffee. The 6 Sorbet flavors are: Strawberry, Mango, Melon, Lemon, Pomegranate, & Mixed Berries.
You may order your frozen treat with one scoop or two in a waffle cone or served in a cup.
An added treat for adults includes 2 scoops of ice cream or sorbet served in a martini glass with a shot of Grand Mariner, Whipped Cream Vodka, or Rum. Certainly a reason to find your way to this quaint little shop tucked away in the France Pavilion of Epcot!
Epcot's Boulangerie Patisserie Has New Location & Expanded Menu
Disney World Guests have long enjoyed the treats that could be found in the France Pavilion of Epcot's World Showcase at a bakery called Boulangerie Patisserie.
Visitors to Epcot will now notice that the location for these french sweets has changed. They have moved down the street, so to speak, to a bigger location.
Co-located with the gift shop at the exit to Impressions de France, the new Boulangerie Patisserie now has a large indoor seatings area and a much expanded counter area to order from.
Above are pictured the various menu boards so that you can see the full listing of available food items, dessert treats, and drinks that are now available.
If you have always been a fan of the Boulangerie Patisserie and thought it was your special secret tucked away in the back of the France Pavilion, your secret is now out. The good news is that the new version is larger and better than ever. Enjoy and if you can't make up your mind, try the Napoleon!
Taste Of Epcot Food & Wine Festival: Coq au Vin sur Gratin de Macaroni
The 2011 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is in full swing from now until November 13. To tempt your taste buds we will be sharing some of the "Tastes" of the Festival from the 27 International Marketplace kiosks.
Today's featured dish is the Coq au Vin sur Gratin de Macaroni from the France kiosk. For those of you that do not speak French or familiar with French Cuisine, this is a red wine braised chicken with mushrooms & pearl onions that is accompanied by macaroni & cheese.
The French name for this dish best suits it, since this is much better than chicken with macaroni & cheese. For a $4.95 portion you get a good sized taste that was very enjoyable. The button mushrooms really added to the overall flavor and the red wine sauce was excellent. The macaroni & cheese was also very good and will not be confused with the kind that comes in a box for kids.
Recommended!
We enjoyed the Coq au Vin sur Gratin de Macaroni and would definitely recommend it for you to try during your visit to the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival at the Walt Disney World Resort.

Dining In Style At Les Chefs de France In Epcot
Housed in a building styled to match late 19th century Parisian architecture, Les Chefs de France is far from your typical theme park restaurant.
It roots go back to 1982 when the restaurant was started by a trio of legendary French Chefs: Paul Bocuse, Roger Vergé, and Gaston Lenôtre (who passed away in January of 2009). This may have been one of the first examples of celebrity chefs combining their talents to own a restaurant.
The result of the collaboration is a highly rated restaurant that features traditional French regional cuisine with menu items influenced by the owners.
Since the restaurant is located in the France Pavilion within Epcot’s World Showcase, the wait staff is French, dressed in the black pants and vests with white aprons. This adds to the ambiance and the dining experience.
The inside of the restaurant carries on the late 1800's architecture that is seen on the outside of the building. The high ceilings make the space feel very airy even though there are a lot of tables in a relatively small space for this 240 seat restaurant.
Les Chef de France Menu
The menu changes frequently, but there are typically beef, chicken, duck, seafood, and vegetarian options on the menu to enjoy.
Appetizers include: Assorted Cheeses, Escargot, & Les Tartes des Chefs - Original flatbreads from their brick oven.
You will also find the traditional Soupe a l'oignon gratinee - the classic onion soup topped with Gruyere cheese on the menu.
As your thoughts turn to the Entrees, you can see the ones that we have pictured here. They all were excellent and would be recommended.
Plat de Cote de Boeuf au Cabarnet avec pates - Beef short ribs braised in Cabernet with pasta, pearl onions and mushrooms.
Filet de boeuf grille, sauce au poivre noir Gratin Dauphinois et haricots verts - Grilled tenderloin of beef with a black pepper sauce original potato gratin of Savoy and green beans.
Filet de Saumon, ratatouille sauce Choron - Broiled salmon, tomato Bearnaise, ratatouille made with onions, zucchini, eggplant and bell peppers
Finally, you can't forget the dessert. They have a wonderful Creme Brulee and for those who need a little chocolate in their diet:
Profiteroles au chocolat - Puff choux with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce

Boulangerie Patisserie: One Of Disney World's Hidden Treasures
Tucked away amongst the shops in the France Pavilion of Epcot is one of Disney World's best places to get a tasty snack.
The Boulangerie Patisserie is not easy to find, but you will be rewarded for your persistance once you weave your way through the back streets of the France Pavilion to find this Hidden Treasure.
This French bakery has a wonderful selection of treats that will satify any sweet tooth in your family. Most of the snacks are under $4.00 and can be had for only 1 Disney Dining Plan Snack Credit.
Worth Looking For
The Boulangerie Patisserie is off the main path in Epcot's World Showcase, but it is well worth the effort to find. This may be one of the best places to spend your Disney Dining Plan Snack Credits. Even if you are not on the Disney Dining Plan, it is a still a great place to grab a snack or satify that desire for something sweet. For the true Disney Fan, you can work your way towards the ultimate goal of trying all of the items on their menu (probably not in one sitting), so that you can officially report which one is the best.
