Disney World Top 6:Quick Service Restaurants In The Magic Kingdom
There is a wide variety of food choices that you can get in Walt Disney World Resort's most popular theme park. Dining has greatly evolved beyond the plain hot dogs, hamburgers, and pizza. Our Top 6 Quick Service Restaurants combine great food choices along with entertainment and great Disney Storytelling to enjoy while you eat.6. Sleepy Hollow Refreshments
Sleepy Hollow Refreshments, located in Liberty Square, makes this list for its creative menu of waffle based sandwiches. Whether you choose the Sweet and Spicy Chicken Waffle Sandwich or the ham, prosciutto, and Swiss waffle sandwich, you can't lose. These sandwiches are amazing.Check out the review: Sleepy Hollow Refreshments at the Magic Kingdom Review
5. Pinocchio Village Haus Restaurant
This Fantasyland restaurant has a lot more than initially meets the eye. Beyond the good food you will discover including: flatbreads, salads, and sub sandwiches. There is a lot of great storytelling that can be found within those walls. The story of Pinocchio can be discovered in a variety of murals placed through the rooms in the restaurant, making this a place to explore even if you are not hungry. Bonus tip: Head to the upstairs balcony seating and go outside for great views of Cinderella Castle and the Princess Charming Regal Carousel.Check out the review: Pinocchio Village Haus Restaurant Review
4. Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe
Two words: Sonny Eclipse! This restaurant has its own audio-animatronic lounge singer named Sonny Eclipse! This is definitely a reason to visit Cosmic Ray's. There is also a wide variety of food choices, ensuring that families will be able to find something to please everyone across the three different kitchen areas. Make sure you check out all that there is to offer before you place your order.Check out the review: Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe Review
3. Columbia Harbour House
This hidden gem located in Fantasyland and Liberty Square provides a seafood based menu that will certainly help you escape the burger rut. There is a lot more seating here than you may realize and often heading to the upstairs level seating results in a peaceful dining experience even on very crowded days. The theming to be found throughout the restaurant is also great and should be explored.Check out the review: Columbia Harbour House Review
2. Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe
Crowds always flock to Frontierland to enjoy the food at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe. Their specialty might be a burger, but their special toppings bar with freshly grilled onions and mushrooms make this a place to visit when you are at the Magic Kingdom. The inside is quite large and has multiple seating areas to enjoy.Check out the review: Pecos Bill Tale Tale Inn and Cafe Review
1. Be Our Guest Restaurant
The newest Quick Service Restaurant at the Magic Kingdom tops our list, but the Be Our Guest Restaurant is unique for a number of reasons. First of all, it is the only restaurant at the Magic Kingdom that is a Quick Service Restaurant at lunch time, but becomes a Table Service Restaurant at Dinner. The cuisine is french inspired to follow the theme of the Beauty and the Beast movie and the theming within the restaurant itself is nothing short of amazing! It is worth it to dine here just to check out the incredible 3 different dining rooms in the restaurant. Don't worry, the food is superb here as well. This restaurant will rank higher as an attraction than many Magic Kingdom attractions, making this a definite Disney World Vacation Must Do!Check out the review: Be Our Guest Restaurant at the Magic Kingdom Review
Disney World Dining: Be Our Guest Restaurant
With the expansion to Fantasyland, the Magic Kingdom has created a restaurant that should be on everyone's list to visit during their next Walt Disney World Resort Vacation. The aptly named Be Our Guest Restaurant is themed after the classic Disney movie Beauty & The Beast and is situated in Beast's Castle.
Disney World Dining At Its Best!
Besides the stunning decor and theming that takes this restaurant beyond the ordinary, it is also noteworthy for being a Disney World Quick Service Restaurant by day and a Table Service Restaurant at night. This is what you look for during your Disney vacation, a unique dining experience that you will remember long after the vacation is over.
The details are amazing! Do not be put off by having to stand in long lines waiting to eat lunch at Be Our Guest Restaurant. Treat it like any other Disney World Attraction (which it definitely is!) and you will be reward by a fairly quick moving line.
Reservations for Dinner can be hard to come by and expect to have to reserve near the 180 day reservation window to get in. For most we would just recommend visiting at lunch for a truly wonderful dining experience.
Once inside it is hard to take in all of the amazing decor and details. From carved gargoyles to the suits of armor, you know that you are in for a treat when you finally get to the dining rooms.
The lunchtime ordering process is much different that other Quick Service Restaurants. You are either guided to a computer kiosk or a register staffed by a Disney Cast Member. Prior to ordering your party either registers one of their MagicBands or you are given a special "rose". Since the food preparation takes place in another part of the building, after you order to go to find a table and the servers use the RFID technology to find you and bring your food to you.
The menu features sandwiches and salads with a French influence on the cuisine. The regular and kid's menus (shown above) feature adult entrees priced between $8.99 - $13.49.
There are 3 different dining rooms to choose from and they all are themed differently and have unique decor to enjoy. Choosing where to sit is a harder decision than choosing what to eat.
When your food is ready it is brought to you in special carts by the staff.
We tried 3 of the entrees during a recent visit: The Tuna Nicoise Salad - warm seared tuna steak with chilled green beans, potatoes, olives, roasted bell peppers, tomatoes, and hard poached egg, Carved Prime Chuck Roast Beef Sandwich - served warm on a baguette with horseradish sour cream and Pommes Frites, & Croque Monsieur - Grilled sandwich of carved ham, Gruyere cheese, and bechamel with Pommes Frites.
Be Our Guest Restaurant Is A Must Visit!
We would highly recommend this outstanding Disney World Quick Service Restaurant. We have yet to try the Table Service version, but will be posting a review after we have had that opportunity. The spectacular theming combined with very good food and excellent service make this one of if not the best Disney World Quick Service Restaurant and a Must Visit for any Disney World fan.
Epcot's Boulangerie Patisserie Has New Location & Expanded Menu
Disney World Guests have long enjoyed the treats that could be found in the France Pavilion of Epcot's World Showcase at a bakery called Boulangerie Patisserie.
Visitors to Epcot will now notice that the location for these french sweets has changed. They have moved down the street, so to speak, to a bigger location.
Co-located with the gift shop at the exit to Impressions de France, the new Boulangerie Patisserie now has a large indoor seatings area and a much expanded counter area to order from.
Above are pictured the various menu boards so that you can see the full listing of available food items, dessert treats, and drinks that are now available.
If you have always been a fan of the Boulangerie Patisserie and thought it was your special secret tucked away in the back of the France Pavilion, your secret is now out. The good news is that the new version is larger and better than ever. Enjoy and if you can't make up your mind, try the Napoleon!
Disney World Dining: Earl Of Sandwich
If you are craving tasty food at a good price on your Walt Disney World Resort Vacation then you should definitely head over to Downtown Disney to check out Earl Of Sandwich.
Earl Of Sandwich
A wide variety of sandwiches and salads dominate the menu at Earl Of Sandwich. This quick service eatery located in the Marketplace section of Downtown Disney may be the most economical place to eat in all of Disney World. It is definitely the place to keep to your Food Budget and still enjoy your meal.
Once inside you can choose from the giant menu board. Don't be discouraged by long lines, as they move really fast. If your order is not ready by the time you get to the Pay Station you will receive a beeper to let you know when your food is ready. Don't worry it won't take long to try some of the great food made here.
Whether you choose a salad or one of their 14 signature sandwiches you can't go wrong. A personal favorite is called The Original 1762. It is a tremendous Roast Beef Sandwich with Roast Beef, Sharp Cheddar, and Creamy Horseradish Sauce served hot on great tasting bread. Also pictured above is the Cannonballs sandwich which contains meatballs, mozzarella cheese, and marinara sauce.
Salad lovers may enjoy a choice of 5 different salads served in a bowl or as a wrap if you prefer. Choices include: Mediterranean, Chinese Chicken Salad, Caprese Salad, The Earl's Cobb, & Chicken Caesar Salad.
Great Quick Service Choice
The Earl Of Sandwich not only serves great food, but it comes at a reasonable price. Any of the 14 different sandwiches on their menu were just $5.99 each. The portion sizes are also plenty to satisfy hungry travelers. Soft drinks are served at a refillable self serve station you are also able to quench your thirst.
You may not find the theming that you get at most Disney World Restaurants, but the food and value definitely make this place worth a stop during your next Disney World Vacation.
Disney World Dining: Capt. Cook's
When it comes to dining at Disney World, one off the beaten path place that everyone should try is Captain Cook's at the Polynesian Resort. Not because it's fancy or glamorous, but because it offers the Disney World famous Tonga Toast.
Captain Cook's
Although you can visit Capt. Cook's for breakfast, lunch, or dinner at Disney World's Polynesian Resort, it is a great way to start off your day when you are planning on visiting the Magic Kingdom. Since the Polynesian Resort is accessible by monorail, you can either drive to the Magic Kingdom Parking lot and walk or take the monorail to the Polynesian Resort. If you are staying at a Disney World Resort just take the bus to the Magic Kingdom and hop on the Resort Monorail to get to the Polynesian Resort.
Once you have arrived at the Polynesian Resort take the time to enjoy the surroundings as you make your way to the ground level to find Capt. Cook's. Like most of the other Disney World Resorts, the Polynesian Resort has a Quick Service Restaurant for resort guests and visitors.
It is hard to capture the delectable goodness that is found in the Tonga Toast with a picture. It is very filling and can be shared if you dare.
The Tonga Toast is one of those Disney World creations that you will find yourself craving once you have returned to your home and counting the days until you can have it again.
By getting your Tonga Toast at Capt. Cook's you save about half of the cost of getting the Tonga Toast at the table service Kona Cafe, but you get the same sweet, sticky goodness in a less fancy surroundings.
You can choose to eat indoors or out, whatever you preference. You can get the Tonga Toast ala carte for only $5.09, which is one of the great Disney World bargains after you have had a chance to taste it.
As mentioned earlier you can also get a full range of breakfast selections if for some reason you decide you are not in the mood for the Tonga Toast (I have heard it could happen.)
Disney World MUST DO Experience
Travelling to Captain Cook's to experience the Tonga Toast for breakfast on your way to the Magic Kingdom is a MUST DO experience. This is one of those things that you try it once based upon the recommendations and you will find yourself craving it for each future vacation.
Caption Cook's is a new Disney World attraction to add to your must do list, so plan on getting up a little early to make sure that you have time to travel to the Polynesian Resort to have breakfast before you visit the Magic Kingdom. You won't be disappointed!

Tonga Toast
For the uninitiated, Tonga Toast is a variation of the more commonly known French Toast. The Tonga Toast starts with a thick piece of sourdough bread, it is then stuffed with bananas and then deep fried. Cinnamon sugar coats the outside and it is ready for syrup to added to give it the full effect.

Disney World Top 6 Quick Service Entrees
With frequent menu updates and new Disney World Quick Service Restaurants being added this list changes frequently, but this is the current Disney World Top 6:
6. Chicken Parmesan at Pinocchio Village Haus
· We start our Disney World Top 6 with a visit to Fantasyland in the Magic Kingdom. Here at The Pinocchio Village Haus we discover the Chicken Parmesan served with Orzo Pasta. This recent addition to the menu was an enjoyable find as the chicken was a large breaded chicken breast, not a chicken patty. The meal was filling and quite tasty. It is definitely deserving of making the Top 6.
5. Grilled Salmon at Sunshine Seasons
· Sunshine Seasons in the Land Pavilion of Epcot is home to many tasty choices. The hardest part was narrowing it down to the best one. We chose the Grilled Salmon and it is certainly well above your “typical” Quick Service fare. With choice of 2 sides and a Kalamata Olive Pesto sauce your taste buds will be Soarin’.
4. One & One at Cooke’s Of Dublin
· There are several locations where you can find “Fish & Chips” at Disney World, but none are better than the signature One & One at Cooke’s Of Dublin in Downtown Disney. Cooke’s Of Dublin prides itself on quality and you can taste the difference in the always served steaming hot fish with house-made tartar sauce. It is worth the side trip to Downtown Disney to get this Irish treat.
3. Rib Platter at Flame Tree BBQ
· Exploring Africa, Asia, & Dinoland all in one day tends to bring out the Carnivore in us and there is no better place to satisfy that urge than the Flame Tree BBQ at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Here you can feast on a ½ rack of St. Louis Ribs along with baked beans and a corn muffin. The animal themed setting certainly adds to enhance the flavor of this filling feast.
2. Shwarma Platter at Tangierine Café
· Number 2 on our Top 6 has an international flair. We travel clear to Morocco courtesy of Epcot’s World Showcase when we dine at the Tangierine Café. The Shwarma Platter is king here and you can get it with lamb, chicken, or if you feel like a glutton you can have both. Alongside the specially prepared seasoned meat you get Moroccan favorites: hummus, Tabouleh, Tangierine CousCous Salad, and fresh Moroccan bread. Of all of the wonderful food that is available around the World Showcase this is the best Quick Service choice.
1. Meatloaf at Wolfgang Puck Express
· The Top Disney World Quick Service Entrée is found at the Wolfgang Puck Express in the Downtown Disney Marketplace. Believe it or not the Top Entrée is Meatloaf! Yes, this normally pedestrian dish has been transformed by Wolfgang Puck into a visually appealing and unbelievably delicious meal. As you can see from the picture this Meatloaf is wrapped in Bacon while resting on top of a bed of mashed potatoes. It is topped with port wine sauce and crispy fried onions. That is a work of art that tastes as good as it looks. It’s hard to believe this is a Quick Service Entrée, but it is and can be had for one Disney Dining Plan Quick Service Credit.
