Kid's Eye View Of The Magic Kingdom's Pixie Hollow
Hello Everyone! After a rather long period of retirement, I’m back and full of excitement to write about important Disney World topics.
Today’s article will be about Disney’s new Meet & Greet, Pixie Hollow, which I was lucky enough to visit.
The first part of my Pixie Hollow experience that I am going to talk about is the miserable, awful line. The line is quite long since this area is very popular.
I truly think that Disney should consider making this an attraction that uses FastPasses. It would make it much more convenient. Seriously, you could use your time to tour around Mickey’s Toon Town Fair which is where Pixie Hollow is located.
Finally after what seems like hours, around six girls and their parents are led into a room which is where you become “Fairy sized.” The Cast Member who was there on the day I visited was very friendly and told us about a lot about the Disney Parks to make the wait time go by faster. He even told us about the Thanksgiving Dinner that the Cast Members get when working on Thanksgiving.
Finally, one by one the girls are allowed to enter the mysterious Pixie Hollow. The room looks very real and authentic with toadstools, trees, and flowers everywhere.
First I went to meet Fawn, the animal talent fairy. She asked me questions about my favorite animals and that kind of thing while she signed my autograph book and posed for pictures.
Then I was ushered to the next fairy, Tinker Bell. Tinker Bell was very spunky and energetic. She asked about my favorite inventions.
The last, but not least, fairy was Rosetta, the garden fairy. She said she loved my flower topped pen. She was very prim & proper.
Overall this was a wonderful experience. All three of the fairies were very talkative, which made the visit a lot of fun.
See you next time!
Madison out.
Kid's Eye View of Disney World's Typhoon Lagoon
Madison, our intrepid 10 year old reporter is back again to share her experiences of the Walt Disney World Resort as only she can.
Today, as the weather is heating up, she takes us to Typhoon Lagoon, one of two sensational Disney World water parks.
Take it away Madison!
Hi, I'm back and this week I'm going to tell you about Typhoon Lagoon, the most fun water park in the world!
Let's start with my favorite ride, Crush 'n Gusher. This ride is the closest you will ever get to a roller coaster in a water park. There are three different tracks the Banana Blaster,Coconut Crusher, and Pineapple Plunger.
I went on the Banana Blaster with my dad and brother and boy am I glad I hadn't eaten lunch yet. It was awesome! It was a raft, but it felt like a roller coaster car. You can go up to 35 mph. This is definitely something that you need to try for yourself.
Now on to a more relaxing ride, Castaway Creek, or what I like to call the lazy river ride. Now this isn't your normal five minute ride. This river is 2100 ft long and takes 45 minutes to go in a complete circle. Oh, and if you want entertainment, just look anywhere because there's always beautiful birds to see. This is the longest lazy river ever.
I'm running out of time so I can't tell you much, but Typhoon Lagoon also has a giant wave pool, lots of water slides, and a chance to snorkel with real sharks. I haven't really figured out how to breath with the snorkel, but it is pretty cool that you can do that here.
Now on to the last and final attraction: food! My family was taking a break when my dad said he would be right back and left. When he came back he was carrying a bucket, and in the bucket was a giant sundae!
The sundae has chocolate and vanilla ice cream, waffle cone pieces, cookie pieces, chocolate and rainbow sprinkles, hot fudge, caramel, strawberry sauce, whipped cream, nuts, and a cherry. It was called the Garbage Pail and it was definitely big enough to share.
Sadly my day finally came to an end and so does my article. Bye.

Kid's Eye View - The Best Of The Disney World Desserts
After a brief hiatus, Madison is back to share her veteran Disney World knowledge as only a 10 year old can.

Without further ado, take it away Madison....
Hi, I'm back. After all of the recent talk about the Disney Dining Plan, I thought it would be a great time for me to share with you my experience with the best part of the meal - DESSERT.
This week I'm going to tell you the Top Three Desserts at Disney World according to me, so listen well.
The first dessert is from Tony's Town Square in the Magic Kingdom. My favorite is the Tiramisu. It is awesome. I would always make my Dad order this as his dessert and then I would switch with him so that I could eat it. This dessert is why I always look forward to eating at Tony's Town Square each trip. If you are not a fan of Tiramisu (but how can you not be), I would suggest the Chef's Signature Cheesecake or the Ice Cream Bomb.
We travel to Epcot to find the next dessert in my list of the Top Three. We travel clear to Canada in the World Showcase. Here at Le Cellier is the Chocolate "Moose". When I ordered this, I thought I was getting some kind of pudding. As it turns out, I still think it was, but it was in the shape of a "Moose" and it was sticking it's tongue out at me. How fun is that? A dessert that tastes incredibly chocolaty and looks like a Moose too!

The final dessert is.....drum roll please....found at the Polynesian Resort at a place called 'Ohana. The last dessert is called the 'Ohana Bread Pudding served ala mode with Bananas and Caramel Sauce. You share this dessert with your family, so don't go to the bathroom when the dessert is about to arrive because when you come back there won't be any left. It is really that good.

So don't forget when you are picking the restaurants that you are going to eat at during you next Disney World trip to check out the dessert menu ahead of time. These Top Three Desserts are good enough to keep these three restaurants at the top of my "Must Visit" list.
Well that's my Kid's Eye View for now. See you next time!

Kid's Eye View - Epcot's Dragon Legend Acrobats
Hi, I’m back! This week I’m going to tell you about some free entertainment.
Have you ever been in Epcot and found that your feet are taking you to China?
Suddenly, you see a flash of color and a twirl of a Chinese streamer. Then an announcer’s voice boomed, “The youngest acrobats ever from China and it’s free to see” (or something like that). They call the act the “Dragon Legend Acrobats.”
Wow! You’ll think: Acrobats would be fun to watch. Soon you’ll be hypnotized with their outfits. Sometimes you will even think a girl is a swan, with her graceful movements.
Your heart will thump so loudly in amazement you might think that people in the real China could hear it. You’ll admit that their handstands and cartwheels and twists are magnificent.
Suddenly, when you think its over, the music has lowered, and the girls have gone. Then the boy acrobats come with jump ropes. Watch in amazement as they do double dutch, flips, and lift each other on their shoulders at the same time. Their bodies twist in every position possible to humans. These kids are strong and flexible.
Then it really is over. As you head on you think that was so good, I can’t believe it’s free!
That’s my Kid’s Eye View of Epcot’s Dragon Legend Acrobats. Enjoy this video from ru42 on YouTube showing the Dragon Legend Acrobats in action. See you next time!

Kid's Eye View - Epcot's Biergarten Restaurant
Madison, my energetic 10 year old daughter, is back again with another report about her favorite parts of Disney World. This time she writes about Epcot's Biergarten Restaurant.
Take it away Madison....
Hi, I'm back again!
Are you having a hard time picking where to dine at Disney World? Are you looking for a place where you can take in food, drinks, culture, and maybe a little music and dancing?
Well, if you are then you should head to Epcot's Biergarten Restaurant located in the Germany section of the World Showcase. Don't worry it is definitely not a pub or a bar. It has a wonderfully joyful atmosphere.
Hey, I'm 10 and I knew when I was 9 that I was tired of restaurants that basically only serve Chicken Nuggets to kids and give them fancy names to make you believe they are extra special.
Fortunately, I don't have to worry about that here. The Biergarten is a buffet, so they still have wonderful macaroni and cheese and normal kid food, but you can also try a little German food like the Schnitzel and Spaetzle. It is really good!
Now on to the culture, music, and dancing!
Well for culture it really does seem like you're in a German town with the buildings and the waterwheel that you see in the large open area that makes up this restaurant.

Finally we get to the music and dancing. You see the stage curtain open and there's the band. I think their small green overalls are Hilarious! The guys on the accordian and on the alphorn and all of the other instruments start playing. The musicians are very talented and you can tell that they are having fun while they are playing
All the kids stop eating dinner and go down to the dance floor with some adults joining in. People just like you start dancing and have a lot of fun moving to the beat of the traditional German music. Try a polka or maybe the Chicken Dance.
It is definitely a lot more fun if you join in, so don't just sit and watch, get up and dance. You are on vacation remember!
I hope this article influences you to try the Biergarten on your next Disney World visit.
That's my Kid's Eye View. Enjoy this clip from the Biergarten. Bye for now.

Kid's Eye View of Stormalong Bay
Take it away Madison....
Hi, I’m back and this week I’m going to talk about my favorite pool in all of Disney World – Stormalong Bay.
It’s located at the Beach Club Resort near the Boardwalk. If you’ve ever been on Disney’s Boardwalk and looked out across the water and seen the large wrecked pirate ship on the far side and wondered what it was, its part of Stormalong Bay!
It’s only a short walk from the lobby of the Beach Club Resort. You can stay at either the Beach Club or the Yacht Club to get a chance to swim at Stormalong Bay.
One thing about the pool is that it’s not just one pool but a whole group of connected pools. The pool area is over 3 ½ acres in all. As you enter the pool you don’t feel the usual cement. Instead you feel sand, like you’re actually at the ocean!
Want a workout while swimming? Well, go to the vortex as I call it. The vortex is water gushing in a circular motion in one special area of the pool. You get a real workout by trying to swim the other way.
What really catches my eye here is all of the waterfalls. Go under the water to the other side so you feel like you’re in a tiny room.
If you want more fun stuff, join in one of the games hosted by the pool staff, like water volleyball. It’s in the middle of a pool, but not that deep. All you have to do is pick a team and hit the ball over the net. Of course they use a giant beach ball as the volleyball to make things more fun.
Now I’m going to tell you about my favorite part of the pool: the water slide!
Follow the long path and board an old pirate ship. Climb up about 3 flights of stairs to get to the top of the mast. When the lifeguard says, “Okay!”, it’s time for you to go. The water slide goes straight for the about the first 50 feet, then you enter the swirls. While you go down you are sliding around and around and around. That makes me dizzy just thinking about it. Watch out for the mini waterfalls! Then plop, you’ve landed.
This is definitely my favorite pool. Bye!

Kid's Eye View of the Living Seas with Nemo and Friends
Madison is back again with another Kid's Eye View report. This week we travel to Epcot.
Take it away Madison....

Hi! This week I'm going to talk about the Living Seas with Nemo and Friends. The Living Seas is located in the Future World part of Epcot.

The aquarium within this attraction is one of the largest indoor aquariums in the world. It holds 5.7 million gallons of salt water. It also is home to over 65 different kinds of fish. Here are a few examples: sharks, angelfish, manatees, dolphins, sea turtles, sting rays, and more.
My favorite attraction is the manatee tank. If you get there in time they feed them cabbages. I think they have earned the name sea cow.
Now here's another thing to tell you about: Clam Mobiles!
This is a ride based upon the movie Finding Nemo. Only this version is a little less frantic. You'll soon be sucked into the theme. Your vehicle is a clam as you could guess. I think overall it is a ride for all ages.

Here is one last surprise bundled into the Living Seas: It is a restaurant called the Coral Reef!
It has wonderful food. You can eat while you watch the fish and sharks and more swim around. The fish's greatest wish is that you don't eat them!

Also, if you are lucky there will be divers swimming in the tank. Sometimes the divers will show off and do somersaults in the water.
I applaud how the restaurant sticks to mainly seafood on the menu, as they should, although my Dad really enjoys the steak that he gets there. Last year my brother got the king crab leg and loved it! The desserts are very good too.
One of my favorite things is the lobby. I love the jelly looking anemones. I think it is awesome how they change colors.
Over all the Living Seas rocks on entertainment and food.
See you next week!

Kid's Eye View of Disney World's Animal Kingdom Lodge
I am proud to announce a new regular feature at Only WDWorld: Kid’s Eye View.
This is Disney World from a kid’s perspective, namely my almost 10 year old daughter Madison. She is already a Disney World veteran with over 10 trips under her belt.
The views presented are hers with only minor editing. If you have comments, please submit them, as I am sure Madison would be more than willing to respond.
Her initial report gives her views and opinions of the Animal Kingdom Lodge.
Take it away Madison….
Hello, this week I’m going to talk about the Animal Kingdom Lodge. The lodge is as close as you can be to the Animal Kingdom. If you’re lucky you can get a room with a savannah view, which means that you can see all of the wonderful animals, such as: zebras, antelope, wildebeests, giraffes, peacocks, and more.

I would like to comment on the inside of the rooms. I applaud the use of the African themes that are seen in the authentic looking tables, beds, and the fabric. There are also wonderful porches.
I want to tell you about something that you don’t want to miss: Night Vision Goggles! Want to see animals up close, well here is your chance. I highly recommend it. Best of all it is free. I love giraffes up close. I even named my favorite ostrich: Osto.
While writing this article it made me think of zebra domes. Should I explain? I think so. Zebra domes are these tasty treats that you can get at the Animal Kingdom Lodge’s restaurants and food court. With a chocolate covering and a creamy center, zebra domes taste heavenly.
Here’s one more thing to do. Listen to an African story told by a wonderful storyteller. You will soon be enchanted. You also get to sit in rocking chairs near the huge fire ring.
That’s my Kid’s Eye View of the Animal Kingdom Lodge!
