6. The Electrical Water Pageant - Disney World's Longest Running Parade, which has been in existance since 1971 has a series of playful floats that make their way across Bay Lake and the Seven Seas Lagoon each evening.

5. Magic Kingdom Attractions - The Magic Kingdom Attractions that are located outside become a totally different experience at night. From the Astro Orbiter and Thunder Mountain Railroad to the Jungle Cruise, each becomes a completely different ride at night.

4. Main Street Electrical Parade - This night time parade of specially designed floats that are illuminated with thousands of LED lights is fun to watch and something the whole family will enjoy.

Fourth Of July Fireworks At The Walt Disney World Resort

Walt Disney World guests are used to seeing incredible fireworks displays every night of the year, so when it comes to the Fourth Of July Disney World works hard to come up with something extra special.

Magic Kingdom

Instead of the normal "Wishes" Fireworks presentation the Magic Kingdom will present “Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky.” This patriotic fireworks spectacular, paying homage to the hopes and dreams of America’s forefathers, will light the skies at 9 p.m. July 4 – and for guests who would like to begin the Independence Day celebration early, the show also will be presented July 3 at 9 p.m.

Epcot

At Epcot, sky-watchers can check out “IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth” bursting high above World Showcase Lagoon. IllumiNations is a 14-minute spectacular during which pyrotechnics, lasers, water and music are all used to tell a story about the past, present and future of our planet. On the Fourth of July, the show will be enhanced with "The Heartbeat of Freedom," an overture of traditional Americana themes displayed in a pyrotechnic and laser light event. The show is at 10 p.m.

In addition, Epcot guests may lend their ears to “Voices of Liberty 4th of July Concert” and participate in meet-and-greets with Benjamin Franklin, Betsy Ross and Disney characters adorned in patriotic dress at American Adventure.

Disney's Hollywood Studios

At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, traditional Fourth of July fireworks take on a different spin when Mulch, Sweat, and Shears perform for the all-new “Rockin’ 4th of July Celebration”! These resident landscapers – with serious rock and roll ambitions – take Disney guests on a musical road trip across America that will highlight each region’s contribution to rock and roll. Fireworks, lighting and special effects – backed by the driving live rock and roll of Mulch, Sweat, and Shears – combine to bring a new twist to celebrating Independence Day. Showtime July 4 is 9:45 p.m. Before or after the show, Disney’s Hollywood Studios guests can thrill to Disney’s Fantasmic!, performing July 4 at 9 and 10:30 p.m.

Which One To Choose?
It is a tough call to know which one to choose. We would suggest that you consider seeing the Magic Kingdom Show on July 3rd, since it is the only one that is shown twice and then go to Disney's Hollywood Studios to catch their show on the Fourth Of July. The reason we suggest Disney's Hollywood Studios is the fact the Disney rarely does fireworks presentations there any more except for special events, so it is a rare treat to see them there. Also, we are big fans of Mulch, Sweat, and Shears and would not pass up a chance to see them perform this special concert.

Disney World At Night - IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth

IllumiNations: Reflections Of Earth is the night time spectacular that closes Epcot each evening with music, fire, water jets, video, lasers, and fireworks. This 14 minute show is truly one Disney World Attraction that is not to be missed.

IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth

IllumiNations first officially appeared at Epcot on October 1, 1999 as part of the Millennium Celebration at Disney World. For over 20 years it has been thrilling crowds at Epcot nightly with a show that is far beyond mere fireworks.

The show takes place in Epcot's World Showcase Lagoon with barges positioned within the lagoon to launch fireworks, jets of flames, and fountains of water.

The star of the show is the 350,000 lb globe that is also a video screen and a pyrotechnic device. The world's first spherical video display system, the globe is wrapped in 15,600 LED clusters.

Each afternoon the barges are moved into position on the World Showcase Lagoon. If you take boat ride across the lagoon you will be treated to a close-up look at the barges.

It's All About The Story!
IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth tells the story of our planet in 3 unforgettable acts.

•Act 1: Chaos — The show starts by taking you back to the creation of the Earth symbolized by the Inferno Barge that shoots fire 60 feet into the air. No matter where you stand around the World Showcase Lagoon, you can feel the heat given off.

•Act 2: Order — During this act the Earth Globe takes center stage displaying video of famous faces and achievements across the world.

•Act 3: Meaning — In the final act the Globe opens to display a torch and fireworks spew forth throughout the World Showcase Lagoon lighting up the sky to propel us to the future.

Perfect Ending To Day At Epcot
IllumiNations: Reflections Of Earth is the perfect way to cap off a day at Epcot. The show is completely different from what you will see each night in the Magic Kingdom during Wishes. The use of fire water, video and music in addition to the fireworks really makes this a memorable experience. The story is fittingly told in Epcot's World Showcase with elements that brings the World together.

The night time show is one of the areas that Disney World excels. It is hard to choose between Wishes, Fantasmic, and IllumiNations: Reflections Of Earth. The important detail to remember is that they are each unique and worthy of your time to see during every visit to Walt Disney World.

Summer Nightastic! Fireworks At the Magic Kingdom

One of the changes at Disney World during Summer Nightastic! is the introduction of the Summer Nightastic! Fireworks Spectacular at the Magic Kingdom. From now through August 14th the Summer Nightastic! Fireworks Spectacular is shown nightly.

For those fans of Wishes, the long running fireworks show at the Magic Kingdom, don't worry it will be returning at the end of the summer, but in the meantime this new show is definitely worth your time.

Summer Nightastic! Fireworks Spectacular
The newest fireworks show to grace the Magic Kingdom is quite impressive to say the least. Disney World is known for their fireworks, so the bar is set high whenever they set out to create a new fireworks display.

Creating a fireworks display utilizing more perimeter fireworks was one of the goals for the show. While viewing it, you feel more engaged as the fireworks are launched from multiple locations in the Magic Kingdom.

For those not familar with the fireworks presentations at Disney World, this is a show in every sense of the word, evoking an emotional response of awe and wonder as you watch it unfold, pulling you into the realm of the fantasy pitting good versus evil. Fortunately good wins out and saves the day.

For those fans of Disney World tradition, you will still find Tinker Bell making her appearance as she "flies" from Cinderella Castle over to Tomorrowland.

Highlights noted by Disney for the Summer Nightastic! Fireworks Spectacular inculde:

The summer fireworks are accompanied by a whimsical score of classic Disney tunes and theme music from the hit film “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.”
The Fairy Godmother from “Cinderella” and other famous fairies star in the fireworks spectacular.
The fireworks perimeter around Magic Kingdom will expand by 25 percent for the summer show. No matter where you are in the park, you’ll be surrounded by the spectacle.
Pirate Alert: Captain Hook and his band of buccaneers burst onto the scene to seize the park’s Cinderella Castle. Disney’s creative entertainment team designed fireworks that tell the story, including a skull-and-crossbones display and other visual effects convincing enough to make you believe the castle is under siege.

There are many great places to view the fireworks from. The pictures in this article were taken from a vantage point on the Tomorrowland side of Cinderella Castle.

Sometimes Change Is Good
As a big fan of Wishes I was skeptical about whether I would like this new show, but I have to say that I may even like it better than the incredible Magic Kingdom hallmark.

The addition of the perimeter fireworks just creates a sense that you are pulled into the action of the story as it unfolds. This really makes a difference and greatly enhances the experience. Photographs and YouTube videos do not do this justice. It is sometime that you need to experience in person to get the full effect.

Summer Nightastic! Brings New Fireworks Show To The Magic Kingdom

As part of its new Summer Nightastic! special attractions for 2010, the Walt Disney World Resort will be debuting a special fireworks show at the Magic Kingdom. Starting June 6th and continuing through August 14th, the new Summer Nightastic! Fireworks Spectacular will light up the night sky each evening at the Magic Kingdom.

Bigger And Better Than "Wishes"?
It is hard to believe that this fireworks show can be better than "Wishes," but the Disney Imagineers have put together a special show with elements that are usually reserved for special separate ticket events.

The show is kicked off by Cinderella's Fairy Godmother telling us that nighttime adds mystery, romance, and magic. Soon she is joined by Aurora's Godmothers - Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather as the the Magic of the evening leads to the skies bursting with fireworks that are synchonized to classic Disney songs.

Captain Hook Attacks The Castle
Catain Hook and his band of pirates arrive on the scene intent in capturing Cinderella Castle. You will even see special effects that make it seem like they've succeeded and blown off parts of the castle during the attack. Then it will be time for everyone's favorite Disney Fairy, aka Tinker Bell, to come the the rescue.

"Magic, Music, and Mayhem"
"Magic, Music, and Mayhem" was the name of the well-received fireworks spectacular for the Pirate and Princess Party that was a special hard ticket event held at the Magic Kingdom many times last year. Some of the best elements of that show are now included in the Summer Nightastic! Fireworks show that you can see with your regular Magic Kingdom admission.

There will be many more perimeter fireworks that surround the park that will be used. They really make you feel like you are a part of the show as you are surrounded by the sound, sights, and feel the force of the explosions around you.

Limited Time

The Walt Disney World Resort is known for its fireworks presentations, so it should be no surprise that it would have amazing presentations for America's Independence Day, July 4th, 2009.

Through the magic of YouTube, Only WDWorld is able to present 4th of July fireworks from 2009 at all 3 parks (Disney's Hollywood Studios, Epcot, & Magic Kingdom) that had them.
