The long rumored tequila bar has finally opened inside Epcot's Mexico Pavilion connected to the San Angel Inn .
La Cava del Tequila is a 30 seat establishment that is a perfect addition to the Mexico Pavilion, with nothing else like it at Disney World. It makes a wonderful fit, calling on the long standing tequilla making history and heritage of Mexico. It is open from noon until Epcot closing each day.
There are more than 70 different varieties of tequila on hand. They present an excellent range of this liquor distilled from the agave plant. You will find tequilas priced from $8 to $50 for a rare specialty variety.
They do not have a bartender, but rather a "Tequila Ambassador" to educate the Disney World guests on the history of tequila making and helping them make their selections.
If you do not care for drinking tequila straight, they also make exotic margaritas, utilizing a variety of flavored salts, spices, and tropical fresh fruits. Certainly this will be an experience to remember.
To accompany your drinks you may also order a variety of tapas style delights including: freshly made guacamole, mahi mahi tostada with diced mango and avacado, and blue crab tostados with chipotle mayo and Valentina sauce.
This is certainly a new destination for adults to try during their Epcot visits. This would be a nice place to get away from the heat for a while and relax in the beautiful Mexico Pavilion.
